How to Take ED Melts
Updated yesterday

⚠️ Important Note:

Follow your primary care provider's instructions for taking your prescription.

Compounded melts, also known as lozenges, sublingual tablets, or troches, are medications prepared by a compounding pharmacy in a solid, dissolvable form.

Follow the instructions below in taking ED melts:

  1. Placement:

Place the melt under your tongue or against the cheek, where it will dissolve.

  2. Dissolving:

Allow the melt to dissolve slowly in your mouth without chewing or swallowing it. This melt is designed to release the medication gradually as it dissolves.

  3. Completion:

Once the melt has fully dissolved, swallow any remaining saliva. Avoid eating or drinking for a certain period afterward to ensure proper absorption of the medication.
