Getting Ready to Use
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water.

Abdomen (avoid the 2-inch area directly around the belly button)
Thigh

Clean your chosen injection site with an alcohol pad and let it air dry.
Administering the Injection
Attach a new needle by removing the paper tab and twisting the needle onto the pen until tight. Remove both needle caps.
Check the flow by turning the dose selector to the flow-check symbol. Press and hold the dose button until the dose counter returns to 0, ensuring a drop appears at the needle tip.
Select your dose by turning the dose selector to the prescribed dose (0.25 mg or 0.5 mg for the red pen, 1 mg for the blue pen, 2 mg for the yellow pen).
Pinch the skin at your injection site.
Inject your dose by inserting the needle and pressing the dose button. Hold it down until the dose counter reaches 0. Slowly count to 6, then remove the needle.
Providing Aftercare
Remove the needle carefully and discard it in a sharps container.
Replace the pen cap and store the pen as directed.
Apply a bandage to the injection site if needed. Watch for redness, swelling, or infection.
Take Note
Single-use needle: Do not reuse or share needles.
No attached needle storage: Do not store the pen with the needle attached.
Pen safety: If the pen is damaged, frozen, exposed to light or temperatures above 86°F (30°C), or left unrefrigerated for more than 28 days, dispose of it and use a new one.
Follow guidelines: Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions when administering injections at home.
