A Guide on Self-Administering MIC + B12

This quick guide provides step-by-step instructions for self-administering MIC + B12 through injection. It covers essential preparation, syringe handling, and injection techniques to ensure a safe and effective experience. Follow these simple steps to properly administer MIC + B12 and care for the injection site afterward.

Getting Ready to Use

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water to ensure cleanliness before handling supplies.

  2. Gather your supplies. Collect your MIC + B12 Injection, a new syringe or needle, and alcohol pads.

  3. Choose your injection site. Intramuscular injections are often given in the following areas:

    • Shoulder muscle (Deltoid)

    • Outer thigh muscle (Vastus Lateralis)

    • Hip muscle (Ventrogluteal area)

    • Upper buttock muscles (Dorsogluteal area)

  4. Clean your preferred injection site with an alcohol pad and let it air dry.

Preparing the Syringe

To prepare your syringe for administering the MIC + B12 Injection, follow these quick steps:

  1. Remove the cap from the MIC + B12 Injection.

  2. Clean the vial's rubber stopper with a new alcohol pad.

  3. Draw air into the syringe equal to the amount of MIC + B12 Injection you plan to inject.

  4. Insert the needle into the vial and inject the air to equalize the pressure.

  5. Turn the vial upside down, ensuring the needle stays below the fluid level.

  6. Draw the desired amount of MIC + B12 Injection into the syringe.

  7. Tap the syringe gently to move any air bubbles to the top. Press the plunger slightly to expel the bubbles.

Administering the Injection

Once you've prepared the syringe, proceed with administering the injection by following these steps:

  1. Pinch your skin at the injection site.

  2. Hold the syringe like a dart and insert the needle into the skin at a 45-90 degree angle.

  3. Once the needle is inserted, release the pinched skin and slowly depress the plunger to inject the MIC + B12 solution.

  4. After the injection, remove the needle from the skin.

  5. Discard the used syringe and needle in a sharps container for proper disposal.

⚠️ Important Note: Never reuse or share needles.

Providing Aftercare

After injecting the treatment, apply a band-aid to the injection site if needed. In case of any adverse reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.
