⚠️ Important Note:
Prioritize safety when administering injections at home. Ideally, a healthcare professional should administer the injection. Self-administration should only be done under the guidance and approval of your healthcare provider. Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions for taking your prescription.
A Guide to Using Glutathione Injection
This quick guide provides step-by-step instructions for injecting Glutathione. It covers essential preparation, syringe handling, and injection techniques to ensure a safe and effective experience. Follow these simple steps to properly administer Glutathione and care for the injection site afterward.
Getting Ready to Use
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water to ensure cleanliness before handling supplies.
Gather your supplies. This will typically include your Glutathione solution, a new syringe or needle, and alcohol pads.
Choose your injection site. For subcutaneous injections, the site is typically on the abdomen (avoid the 2-inch area directly around the belly button), thigh, or upper arm
Clean your preferred injection site with an alcohol pad and let it air dry.
Preparing the Syringe
To prepare your syringe for administering the Glutathione, follow these quick steps:
Remove the cap from the Glutathione vial.
Clean the rubber stopper on the vial with a new alcohol pad.
Draw air into the syringe equal to the amount of Glutathione needed. This equalizes pressure in the vial.
Insert the needle into the vial and push the plunger to inject the air into the vial.
Without removing the needle, turn the vial upside down so that the needle is beneath the fluid level.
Draw the desired amount of Glutathione into the syringe.
Remove any bubbles in the syringe by gently tapping the syringe with your fingers until the bubbles rise to the top. Press the plunger slightly until the bubbles are gone.
Administering the Injection
Once you are done preparing the syringe, you may now proceed in administering the injection by following these steps:
Pinch your skin at the injection site.
Hold the syringe like a dart and insert the needle into the skin at a 45-90 degree angle.
Once the needle is in, release the pinch skin and slowly depress the plunger to inject the Glutathione.
After the injection, remove the needle from the skin.
Discard the used syringe and needle in a sharps container for proper disposal.
⚠️ Important Note: Never reuse or share needles.
Providing Aftercare
After injecting the treatment, apply a band-aid to the injection site if needed. In case of any adverse reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.
