The dosing schedule for Tirzepatide is as follows:
Starting Dose
Begin with 2.5 mg once weekly for the first 4 weeks.
Dose Increase
After 4 weeks, increase the dose to 5 mg once weekly.
Further Increases
If additional glycemic control is needed, increase the dose in 2.5 mg increments every 4 weeks until the desired effect is achieved, up to a maximum of 15 mg once weekly.
Administration Instructions
Tirzepatide should be administered as a subcutaneous injection.
It can be injected into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
It is important to rotate injection sites to reduce the risk of irritation.
Take Note:
The medication should be taken on the same day each week, with or without meals.
If a dose is missed, administer it as soon as possible within 4 days after the missed dose.
If more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose and take the next dose on the regularly scheduled day.
